Xiaogang (Marshall) Ma is an associate professor of computer science at the University of Idaho. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of Twente, Netherlands in 2011, and then completed postdoctoral training of Data Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA. His research focuses on deploying data science in the Semantic Web to support cross-disciplinary collaboration and scientific discovery. For the fall of 2022 he will be a visiting scientist at Carnegie Institution for Science at Washington, DC. With a training and career path across Asia, Europe, and America, Marshall is a true 'international' researcher and has rich experience in collaborating with people from different knowledge backgrounds.
